Workhorse Panel Mount Relay ideal for Many Applications
Many Kilovac relays are designed to meet detailed customer specifications for particular types of applications. The K81 series (K81A, K81B, K81C) panel mounting relay is an exception. Kilovac engineers designed it for easy installation and general purpose use for a wide variety of applications. The K81 panel mounting style is available in form A, SPST-NO and form B, SPST-NC versions for applications requiring voltage isolation up to 10Kv.
The relay is 3.10 inches long with two mounting holes placed at 2.73 inch centers. Coil connections are made via .112-40 UNC-2A nuts provided with each relay. High voltage connections are made via flying leads. The high voltage leads come with the relay in a standard length of 12 inches. Other lengths are also available. Standard coil voltages are 12 and 26.5 Vdc.
Ease of installation is where the K81 panel mount relay really shines. Many relays require special panel cutouts, mounting provisions and connectors, as well as solder termination of leads, base grounding and the space associated with all of these. With the panel mount series, all that's needed is a screwdriver, screws and any convenient mounting space. Mount the relay, cut the flying leads to fit, hook up the coil leads, and installation is complete. Delivery is from stock for most panel mount relays. Other relays in this popular series include PC board mounting styles (including form C, SPDT) and the PD10 series capable of switching up to 10 amps current @320Vdc.
