Input Voltages (Coil Voltages)

Operating voltage range
Permissible range of the input voltage depending on the ambient temperature.

Minimum voltage Umin
Minimum permissible voltage at the winding at which the relay operates, for a winding temperatur of the reference temperature (20/23°C coil temperature without preenergizing).

Minimum voltage UI
The lowest permissible input voltage at which the relay operates reliably at the reference temperature even after continuous energization (preenergizing) and brief de-energizing.

Maximum voltage UII
The highest permissible input voltage at the reference temperature at which the relay, with continuous energization, heats up to its max. permissible coil temperature.

Minimum operate voltage (also called must operate voltage)
Voltage at RT a relay must operate at. To guarantee proper function of all relays, the applied coil voltage in the car must be above this specified operating voltage. Please note that the actual operate voltage of an individual relay, the maximum operate voltage, and the car system value are sometimes all called operate voltage.

Reset voltage
is the lowest input voltage at which a bistable relay shifts from the operating state into the rest state at the reference temperature.

Release voltage
The value of the input voltage at which a monostable relay returns to the rest state at the reference temperature. Please note that the release voltage of an individual relay, the guaranteed minimum (must) release voltage of a relay type, and the car system value are sometimes all called release voltage.

Minimum release voltage (also called must release voltage)
Voltage at RT a relay must release at. To guarantee proper function of all relays, the limit in the car must be below this specified release voltage.
Please note that the release voltage of an individual relay, the minimum (must) release voltage, and the car system value are sometimes all called release voltage.

Release current
Coil current at which a monostable relay releases.

Non-operating current / voltage
Coil current / voltage at which an individual relay coil does not operate.

Non-release current / voltage
Coil current / voltage at which a monostable relay does not release.
